How was our bean paste bun born?

English⇔Japanese

In 1875, chamberlain of Emperor Meiji, Tesshu Yamaoka, visited the Kimuraya bakery. Tesshu and Yasubei had known each other since before the Meiji Restoration in 1868. "How about serving your bean paste buns to His Majesty at a cherry blossom viewing party?" said Tesshu. Yasubei and Eizaburou were surprised by his offer but thrilled by this opportunity, and started to make the best bean paste bun for His Majesty.
